In the next 30 minutes, you will write an argumentative essay in English. After writing the essay, it will be evaluated automatically by a computer program, and you will receive immediate feedback on your essay. With the help of the feedback, you will then have the possibility to revise your essay. Afterward, there will be a few questions about the feedback.

Then, your revised essay will again be evaluated, and you will receive a second feedback. Finally, you will be asked to answer a few more questions on the second feedback before the revised essay is emailed to your teacher, including the computer-generated evaluation. This homework assignment is an alternative to regular homework; it is designed to help you improve your writing skills on your own. It is not intended to replace your teachers, but to provide additional support for your learning progress (especially from home). Below you can see a schematic sequence of the homework.

All data is collected anonymously. Participation in the homework assignment is voluntary. All data entered will be stored securely and will only be forwarded to your teacher. No one else can view your data. Please use a current version of your internet browser to complete the homework assignment.
